Taiwan Seaweed seeks to revive the declining seaweed industry on Taiwan's northeast coast by redesigning its brand. We focus on nine distinctive seaweed-growing locations to create educational, eco-friendly packaging that underscores seaweed's benefits and fosters a stronger connection to the region.

Taiwan Seaweed's goal is to breathe new life into the seaweed industry on Taiwan’s northeast coast by developing a brand that merges cultural heritage with ecological education. We strive to increase public awareness and appreciation of seaweed, encouraging sustainable consumption and supporting local communities.

The creative concept focuses on establishing a brand image that combines local topography and seaweed. We introduce three product lines—dried seaweed, seaweed soup packs, and seaweed seasoning—based on nine distinctive seaweed-growing locations in northeast Taiwan. The packaging includes educational information about seaweed's growth, benefits, and ecological impact. Our eco-friendly design features single-color printing, eco-ink, and recycled corrugated paper, improving brand recognition and promoting northeast Taiwan's delicious seaweed.

The packaging design and modeling were inspired by ocean waves and the terrain of the algal islet to mirror Taiwan's natural ecology. Packaging materials and structure are assembled with delicate consciousness to the environment, further strengthening the trust and relationship between the seaweed brand and its eco-friendly consumers.
